How Does Reflexology Work?

How does reflexology work?

Reflexology is quite effective for improving circulation, increasing energy, reducing stress, stimulated nerve function and improving the immune system.

This type of non-invasive massage therapy is performed as a foot rub.

This massage of the feet is based on the 4,000-year-old principle that each part of your body corresponds to a reflex point in the feet.

This massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing about natural body healing.

How Your Session Is Performed

When you first visit my office I’ll first look at your overall medical history, lifestyle, diet and other health issues. I perform a unique Whole Body “Non-Force” Spinal Manipulation and then we move into your reflexology session.

Some folks wonder why I use Non-Force chiropractor care first. While your reflexology treatment will open up the blocks present in the meridian energy system of your body, your Non-Force chiropractic treatment enhances the entire process by balancing your nervous system.

During your relaxing reflexology treatment I apply painless pressure to your feet so that I can identify the body part(s) affected. Your session could last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes.

In answering your question, how does reflexology work, simply know that I’m touching your feet with gentle massage motions on your meridian points as I work to stimulate specific body areas, such as your liver, pancreas, lungs, heart, lymph glands or pineal and pituitary glands.

What Can be Treated

There are many diseases/disorders you can help by undergoing reflexology.

Such disorders include blood circulation problems, impaired immune system, sleep problems and digestive disorders.

Fatigue and lack of strength are caused by insufficient blood supply to the muscles and reflexology can greatly help you regain the energy you need in order to live your busy and eventful lifestyle.
